I've never been to a restaurant 3 days in a row before. And i didn't really intend to! But it's a
testament to Antep that I loved each time. The 3rd time was a dinner with friends that had
been booked in for a while. The first was a spontaneous need to sit for an hour and regroup
with my daughter after delivering big catering breakfast and lunch. It was raining and grim on
Cowley Rd but we sat in the cosy restaurant, appreciating the immaculately curated space
(minus the bread boards on the wall which is just weird). It was friendly, cosy and efficient. I
had moussaka - a rogue choice but I felt like comfort food. And my daughter had adana
kebab. We had free bread and dips- yummy-nice touch and turkish tea. Food was not
groundbreaking but basically faultless.. The bill was even better! £19.90 - and the bill comes
with hand wipes and turkish delight - making you feel that lovely caring feeling that good
hospitality delivers. The next day - my next daughter (returning from somewhere) was
jealous so we agreed to go again! They both had really generous chicken wings, rice and
salad. I honestly think the express lunch menu might be the best value lunch in Oxford.
Going back in the evening with friends amazingly didn't feel weird or awkward! I had the sea bass and the service and food was generous and professional- loved it 10/10 .
Love,
Pippa xx
