Broccoli redemption!

What a find!

I owed an old friend a nice dinner - fellow chef and foodie. He suggested the new hotel restaurant where the old Boswells used to be right in town. We had a look at the menu outside before going in - the first dish, some long description of a lamb starter was £24.. We instantly decided not to bother. It was a nice warm evening so I asked him where we could eat that was outside. He suggested this new Italian on broad street. It was literally perfect. We got 2 x gambas, fried tortellini (cos I've never had them) , arancini (bit pointless) and some broccoli and green beans. With an Aperol and a margarita . The service was lovely, everything tasted so good. The lovely waitress said the prawns came from Sardinia - the chef and her husband's home. It really felt like generous Italian home cooking. Literally my favourite. These guys are putting love and passion into their food and business and we deeply appreciate it. It's what we do and we love it so much when we see a fellow family business really trying - its the definition of hospitality

Will be back for authentic pizza and pasta with the kids .. stupendo e grazie!
